The Ordinary L-Ascrobic Acid Powder is a pure vitamin C powder (L-Ascorbic Acid). It is meant to be mixed with other products right before application. It brightens skin, helps with hyperpigmentation, and supports collagen production. It is a powdered form of direct vitamin C that visibly reduces signs of aging by brightening and balancing uneven skin tone. SO also it helps protecting your skin from the effects of damage caused by environmental stressors. Because The Ordinary L-Ascrobic Acid Powder made of 100% vitamin C, itβs designed to be mixed with other serums, creams, or moisturizers in your skincare routineβallowing you to create a custom vitamin C treatment.
Depending on your mixture, your combination may offer a high concentration of direct vitamin c and as a result, a very strong tingling but non-irritating sensation is expected during the first 1-2 weeks of use until the skin’s tolerance to such high exposure is elevated.
Regimen Step 2: Treat
How to Use
Cleanse your skin thoroughly to remove any makeup, dirt, or oil using The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser.
Dispense a small amount of powder (about a quarter of a scoop, or the tip of a spatula).
Mix it with a water-based serum or moisturizer. Good pairings:
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% (for advanced users)
A basic hydrating serum (without niacinamide, peptides, or strong acids)
Apply to the face (avoid eyes and mouth).
Use at night (preferred) or in the morning with sunscreen.
Important Tips:
Do NOT mix with Niacinamide (may reduce effectiveness), Direct acids (glycolic, lactic) & Peptides.
A tingling or mild stinging sensation is normal β especially at first.
Start 2β3 times per week, then increase frequency if tolerated.
Always use sunscreen during the day.
